Citrus County is seeking applicants to fill two open judicial seats. The Citrus County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller’s office announced that applications are now being accepted for the positions.
The two judicial seats are for the Citrus County Court and the Sixth Judicial Circuit Court. The application period began on January 15, 2024, and will close on March 15, 2024. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and a resident of Citrus County. They must also be a member of the Florida Bar Association.
Interested applicants can obtain an application from the Citrus County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller’s office located at 205 Southeast 5th Avenue, Inverness, FL 34470. The office can also be contacted at (352) 749-7121 for more information.
The application process is open to all qualified candidates. A selection committee will review the applications and conduct interviews with the top candidates. The appointments will be made by the Governor of Florida.
