Raptor Fest Soars to Success at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve

The Friends of Boyd Hill hosted another successful Raptor Fest at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve last weekend, bringing together birds of prey from around the world along with local wildlife and environmental groups.

The event, which took place on Saturday and Sunday, featured a variety of birds of prey, including owls, hawks, and eagles. Attendees had the opportunity to see these magnificent creatures up close and learn about their habitats, behaviors, and conservation efforts. The event also included educational presentations, demonstrations, and interactive activities for all ages.

The Raptor Fest was held at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve, located at 3740 Bayshore Boulevard, St. Petersburg, which is just outside of Pasco County. The preserve is a 335-acre nature reserve that features a variety of wildlife, including alligators, bobcats, and white-tailed deer.

The Friends of Boyd Hill, a non-profit organization, works to support the preserve and its mission to provide a natural oasis for wildlife and a place for environmental education and recreation. The Raptor Fest is one of the organization’s annual events, which helps to raise awareness and funds for the preserve’s conservation efforts.
