Pasco Man Leads Trooper on Cocaine-Fueled Chase, Arrested

A San Antonio, Florida man is behind bars after leading a state trooper on a cocaine-fueled chase that ended in multiple felony charges. The incident occurred on Monday night in Pasco County.

According to an arrest report from the Florida Highway Patrol, the trooper was stopped at a gas station on State Road 54 in Pasco County when the suspect, 35-year-old Jeremiah Ray Johnson, drove by. Johnson, who has a history of DUIs, including three prior convictions, caught the trooper’s attention. The trooper initiated a traffic stop, but Johnson fled the scene, leading to a high-speed chase.

The chase continued for several miles before Johnson was finally apprehended. He was found to be in possession of cocaine and was charged with multiple felonies, including possession of cocaine, fleeing to elude, and driving under the influence. Johnson is being held at the Pasco County Jail.
