Brooksville, FL – Nature Coast boys basketball coach Dave Pisarcik recently achieved a milestone, surpassing 400 career wins. Pisarcik, who has been coaching at Nature Coast for 19 seasons, reached this impressive feat on January 13, 2025, with a 58-22 win at Citrus. However, he was unaware of the milestone at the time.
Pisarcik took over as head coach in 2007, replacing his mentor Travis Priddy, who stepped down to take a job in Georgia. Since then, Pisarcik has led the Sharks to two Final Fours, eight district championships, and 12 regional playoff appearances. His overall record currently stands at 405-144, an impressive .738 win percentage. Pisarcik credits his staff, including Coach Ramsey Rastatter, who has been with him since the beginning, for the team’s success.
“I don’t really like to look at wins and losses as much as I like to look at what we built here at Nature Coast for the last 20 years,” Pisarcik said. “Obviously wins and losses are important, but what we built here at Nature Coast in the consistency of being a top program means a lot more to me than just wins.” Pisarcik also mentioned that he is honored to be mentioned alongside other great coaches in Hernando County history, including Greg O’Connell, John Sedlack, and Jeff Laing.
The Nature Coast Sharks concluded their 2025-26 campaign on February 14, 2025, with a regional quarterfinal loss to Seminole. Despite the loss, Pisarcik remains proud of his team’s accomplishments and looks forward to continuing to build on the program’s success.
