DADE CITY, Fla. – The undefeated Nature Coast baseball team easily took care of Pasco High School with an 11-0 victory on Thursday, February 25, 2026. Sophomore right-hander Noah Sanchez pitched five scoreless innings and struck nine batters, while Garrick Waggoner, Aidan O’Nolan, and Brayden Evans each had three hits.
The game was stopped after six innings due to the 10-run mercy rule. The win sent the Sharks (7-0) into a big Friday night meeting with rival Hernando (5-1). Nature Coast coach Dan Garofano said his team played their brand of baseball, focusing on the present game rather than looking ahead to their next match.
The Sharks’ strong outing from Sanchez was notable, as he allowed only two hits over five innings and got relief help from Waggoner. This follows a one-hitter by junior left-hander Mario DeAngelis in a 3-1 victory against Hernando on Tuesday night.
Garofano praised Sanchez’s performance, saying, “Noah was just outstanding. When you get that kind of pitching and you swing the bats well, that makes it easy.” The team’s next game is against Hernando on Friday night.
