A 37-year-old Ocala woman was killed Saturday night, around 8:25 p.m., following a multi-vehicle crash along U.S. 19 in Citrus County, just south of West Sugar Bush Path. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the woman was operating an Indian Scout motorcycle traveling northbound in the center lane of U.S. 19.
Ahead of her in the inside lane was another vehicle. The woman attempted to pass the vehicle but crashed into it. She was thrown off the motorcycle and suffered fatal injuries. The driver of the other vehicle stopped and called 911. The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. No other details were released.
The crash is under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office.
