Local High School Softball Teams Release 2026 Season Schedules

High school softball teams across North Central Florida have released their 2026 season schedules, with games beginning February 17 and running through April 21. The Chiefland Indians, Bronson Eagles, and Cedar Key Sharks will compete in what promises to be an exciting season of varsity softball action.

The Chiefland Indians open their season February 17 against Branford at 7 p.m., followed by a home game against Crystal River on February 19 at 7 p.m. Key matchups for the Indians include games against Lecanto on March 6 at 6:30 p.m. away and March 12 at 6:30 p.m. at home. The Indians will face traditional rivals throughout the season, including games against Union County, Taylor County, and Newberry.

The Bronson Eagles begin their campaign February 17 at Riverside Christian at 7 p.m. The Eagles have scheduled 19 games total, including home contests against Newberry on February 23, Union County on February 27, and a special 1 p.m. game against Wewahitchka on February 28. Notable matchups include games against Chiefland on March 9 away and April 10 at home, both scheduled for 7 p.m.

Cedar Key Sharks will start their season February 19 with a 6 p.m. home game against Riverside Christian. The Sharks have scheduled games against various opponents including Ocala Christian on February 23 at 6 p.m. and Eastside on March 10 at 6:30 p.m. Several of their away games feature earlier start times, including a 4:30 p.m. contest at Meadowbrook Academy on March 3.

All teams will play the majority of their games at 7 p.m., with some exceptions for weekend and away contests. Fans can follow their local teams throughout the season as they compete for district championships and playoff positioning. The regular season concludes in late April before district tournament play begins.
