The Citrus Memorial Health Foundation YMCA Community Easter Egg Hunt is set to take place on Saturday, March 21, at 11 a.m. at the YMCA, 4127 W. Norvell Bryant Highway, Lecanto. The event will feature a photo opportunity with the Easter Bunny, an egg hunt for ages 13 and younger, a bounce obstacle course, games, and food vendors. The event is free for members and $10 per family for non-members.
The VFW Auxiliary to Post 4252 at 3190 N. Carl G. Rose Highway, Hernando, will host its semi-annual flea market on Sunday, March 22, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tables inside are available for $10 each, and outside space can be rented for $5 per space. Those interested in renting tables can contact Carol Franker at 352-400-9016. Food will be available for purchase.
Additionally, Kristi Hill, owner of Fox Wildlife Rescue and Sanctuary near Spring Hill, will discuss her experience with wildlife rehabilitation at the TOOFAR Foundation meeting on Thursday, March 26. The meeting will begin with dinner at 6 p.m. and the program at 6:30 p.m. at the TOOFAR headquarters building, 9228 E. Gospel Island Road. The public is invited to attend, and the meal will be chili with sides and dessert for a donation of $10.
