The Cold Weather Shelter, located at the Citrus County Fairgrounds, 3201 S. State Road 44, Inverness, was open from 6:00 PM to 8:00 AM on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. The shelter provided a safe and warm space for those in need, with cots, blankets, and other essential services available.

The shelter was operated by the Citrus County Department of Social Services, in partnership with local non-profit organizations. Residents were advised to bring their own personal items, such as medications, clothing, and toiletries, if needed.
