The City of Inverness has announced the appointment of a new assistant city manager. Meanwhile, the Cold Weather Shelter in Inverness will be open from Sunday to Tuesday, February 22-24, providing temporary relief for residents in need.
According to a press release, the City of Inverness has named Matthew G. Goss, P.E., as its new assistant city manager. Goss previously served as the public works director for the City of Inverness. The Cold Weather Shelter, located at the Inverness Gospel Rescue Mission, 205 SE 1st Ave, Inverness, FL 34470, will be open from 6:00 PM to 8:00 AM on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, February 22-24. The shelter provides a safe and warm space for individuals and families in need during periods of extreme cold weather.
