A mobile home in Inverness was destroyed in a fire on Monday night, March 16. The Citrus County Fire Department responded to the blaze at 1421 SE 2nd Ave, Inverness, around 10:30 p.m.
The fire was brought under control, but the mobile home suffered extensive damage. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Meanwhile, due to the ongoing cold weather, the Cold Weather Shelter will be open on Monday and Tuesday nights, March 16 and 17, from 6 p.m. to 8 a.m. at the Citrus County Health Department, 806 S. Pine Ave, Inverness.
