Four Tampa Men Charged with Commercial Burglary in Hernando County

Four men from Tampa, Florida, are being held at the Hernando County Detention Center on charges of commercial burglary and traveling across county lines to commit burglary. Yosbel Campber Gonzalez, 44, Fidel Acosta-Zamora, 43, Edel Llano Broche, 40, and Ricardo Pereira-Gamez, 31, were apprehended on February 8.

The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office received a tip from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office about an ongoing investigation into commercial thefts from construction sites. The suspects were believed to be in or near the area of Annutalaga Avenue and Promise Path in Hernando County. Deputy Mitchell Vesper responded to the area and used an agency-issued drone to search for subjects on the property. The drone’s thermal camera detected Gonzalez and Acosta-Zamora walking on the northeast part of the property, near the building. They were seen handling unknown items, but appeared to be deterred and walked away into the woods.

The incident occurred just prior to a van arriving in the area of the business, which was closed at the time. The business was not named in the report. The suspects were observed walking a short distance from the building to a small opening and then back towards the building. They were seen handling unknown items on the property before walking away.

No bond was set for each man, who remains incarcerated at the Hernando County Detention Center. The Hernando Sun reported on the incident, providing details on the investigation and arrest.
