Four Inverness Teens Arrested for Armed Gas Station Robbery

INVERNESS, Fla. – Four Inverness teenagers were taken into custody Sunday afternoon, just hours after an armed robbery at a local gas station, according to the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies responded around 2:00 p.m. to the Citgo station at 79 N. Florida Avenue following reports that two suspects had entered the store armed with a firearm.

Investigators say Joshua Robertson, 19, and three other juveniles, ages 17 and 18, were arrested and charged in connection with the robbery. The Citrus County Sheriff’s Office did not release the names of the other suspects. The incident occurred on Sunday, and the suspects were apprehended later that afternoon. The Citgo station where the robbery occurred is located in the heart of Inverness, a city in Citrus County, Florida.
