The incident occurred on US-19 in Spring Hill, Hernando County, Florida. According to authorities, the suspect, whose name has not been released, was driving under the influence when he collided head-on with another vehicle. The victim, whose name also has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene. Two others, including at least one child, were transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. The suspect fled the scene but later surrendered on Tuesday.
