The Cold Weather Shelter in Citrus County will be open Sunday-Tuesday, Feb. 22-24, providing a safe haven for residents in need during the cold weather.
The shelter, located at 100 NE 1st Ave, Inverness, FL 34470, will be open from 6:00 PM to 8:00 AM each night. The shelter is operated by the Citrus County Department of Social Services and is designed to provide temporary housing for individuals and families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness due to the cold weather.
Residents can contact the shelter at (352) 749-3340 for more information or to reserve a bed. The shelter will provide meals, blankets, and other essential services to those in need.
