A Cold Weather Shelter will be open in Citrus County from Sunday to Tuesday, February 22-24, due to the forecasted cold weather. The shelter will provide a safe and warm space for those in need.
The Citrus County Cold Weather Shelter will be located at the Citrus County Department of Human Services, 3100 W. State Road 44, Crystal River. The shelter will be open from 6:00 PM to 8:00 AM each night, and individuals can check-in starting at 5:00 PM. The shelter is a collaborative effort between Citrus County Government, the Department of Human Services, and local non-profit organizations.
