Citrus County health providers have been called to action to open a Cold Weather Shelter from Sunday to Tuesday, February 22-24. The shelter will provide a safe and warm space for those in need during the cold weather.
The Cold Weather Shelter will be open at the Citrus County Health Department, located at 806 S. Pine Avenue, Crystal River. The shelter will be open from 6:00 PM to 8:00 AM on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. During this time, individuals can come to the shelter to warm up and receive assistance. The shelter is a collaborative effort between Citrus County Health Department, the Salvation Army, and other local organizations to provide support to those in need during extreme weather conditions.
