On Monday night, the Citrus High School volleyball team hosted their rivals, the Lakewood High School Rams. The Lady Citrus Panthers won the match in a thrilling five sets, 3-2. The final set scores were 25-22, 22-25, 25-20, 20-25, 15-10. The match was held at Citrus High School, located at 1321 E. State Road 44, Inverness, FL 34450.
Also on Monday, the Withlacoochee High School Warriors faced off against the Brooksville High School Buccaneers in a heated boys’ volleyball match. The Warriors took the win in three straight sets, 3-0. The final set scores were 25-19, 25-22, 25-20. The match was held at Withlacoochee High School, located at 3271 S. State Road 44, Dunnellon, FL 34470.
In other local sports news, the Inverness High School Indians will face off against the Zephyrhills High School Tigers in a boys’ soccer match on Wednesday at 7:00 PM at Zephyrhills Municipal Stadium, located at 1025 E. 7th Ave, Zephyrhills, FL 33541.
