A Brooksville man was violently robbed after inviting a woman back to his hotel room on Thursday, February 26, 2026, around 6:03 a.m., according to arrest affidavits filed by the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office. The incident occurred at 528 Sharon Street in Brooksville.
The victim told deputies that he had invited a woman back to his hotel room, where she and an accomplice allegedly assaulted him and took his belongings. The suspects reportedly “rolled” the victim, a term used to describe a type of robbery where a person is assaulted and robbed, often by multiple perpetrators.
The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident, but no arrests have been reported as of yet. The case is a reminder for residents to be cautious when meeting new people, especially in isolated areas like hotel rooms.
