The Art Center of Citrus County’s Shutterbugs camera club is hosting a photographic exhibit, “Celebrating the Art of Photography,” from May 1-29. The exhibit, which opens on May 1, aims to recognize the power of photography and features works by local photographers.
The exhibit’s chair, Mary Ann Gilfillan, said that photography can “speak volumes when people can’t find words.” The exhibit will feature various photographs, including works by Shutterbugs members. A reception is planned for May 1 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., where awards will be presented to the first- through third-prize winners, as well as to the photographer who receives the most votes from the public for the People’s Choice award.
The Art Center of Citrus County is located in Inverness, Citrus County, Florida. The Shutterbugs camera club is a group of photography enthusiasts who meet regularly to share their passion for photography.
Some notable photographs include “Yellowstone” by Jim Houle, a Shutterbugs member. The exhibit will also feature works by other local photographers, showcasing their unique perspectives and talents.
For more information about the exhibit, visit the Art Center of Citrus County’s website or contact Mary Ann Gilfillan at the Art Center.
