A 74-year-old Crystal River woman was killed Friday evening in a five-vehicle crash on U.S. 41 after a pickup truck failed to stop for traffic backed up at a red light, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred around 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The driver of the pickup truck fled the scene. The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
The victim has been identified as a resident of Crystal River, a city located in Citrus County, Florida.
