Deputies with the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office responded to an armed robbery at a gas station in Inverness on Sunday. The incident occurred at the Citgo located at 1190 E. Main St., Inverness, around 3:30 a.m.
According to authorities, three suspects were arrested in connection with the robbery. The suspects, whose names have not been released, were taken into custody after a brief investigation. No injuries were reported during the incident, and the suspects were found to be in possession of a firearm.
The Citrus County Sheriff’s Office is leading the investigation, with assistance from the Inverness Police Department. The motive behind the robbery is still under investigation.
The arrested suspects are being held at the Citrus County Detention Center, pending arraignment. Charges include armed robbery and possession of a firearm during a felony.
